Houston was a Perfect Engagement Shoot Location for Two Pro Athletes

First comes pro athlete status, then love, and then marriage – at least that’s what we’re getting from this engagement shoot from Erika Geier Photography featuring professional soccer player Megan Oyster and her future husband Anthony Montefusco! This adorable athletic couple first met when Megan was playing for the Washington Spirit team in D.C, while Anthony had just retired from playing baseball and moved back to the D.C area where he had attended college. One of Megan’s teammates had a mutual friend with Anthony and the group planned a night out together. After they went to a sports and game bar, Megan and Anthony paired up for the games, and they didn’t stop laughing all night! Right away, both knew there was something special. Now in their winter wedding of white, gold, and emerald set for December in Chicago, there are a few details that bride Megan is simply ecstatic for. The Old Post Office Building, our wedding venue, was recently transformed into the beautiful space that it is now,” Megan said. “My dad was the building manager that helped to renovate this 1921 historic landmark in Chicago. I’m so excited to get married in a place that has so much history and meaning to not only Chicago where I grew up, but my family as well.” We are so excited for these Houston-based sweethearts, their athletic roots, and their bright future together. Read on for a note from their photographer to hear about their romantic Houston engagement shoot. Cheers to the future Montefuscos!

From the photographer: “Megan and Anthony have settled down in Houston for the time being. Megan is a pro soccer player for Houston Dash and Anthony is a former pro baseball player. Two athletes who have fallen in love. They tend to move around a lot due to work but that doesn’t stop their love. They have found their home here in Houston, TX. Anthony proposed to Megan in a hot air balloon… They decided they wanted to capture their engagement pictures in Houston where they are calling home. This December they will tie the knot in Chicago.”
