As they look forward to a glamorous Austin wedding this fall infusing Bunmi’s Nigerian culture, they wanted to celebrate their love and affection for one another in their home city. How they met: “Bunmi and I met when I was a freshman and he was a junior at the Colorado School of Mines. The first day we met we were at a mutual friend’s party, and Bunmi saw that I was wearing a medical boot (I had a track injury). He asked about the medical boot, and we didn’t speak again for quite a few days. Every time we saw each other on campus, Bunmi would ask about my medical boot and how my leg was healing. It wasn’t until the third time we saw each other on campus that Bunmi asked me out to dinner. We’ve been best friends ever since.”
Details on their upcoming wedding: “Bunmi and I are having a traditional Nigerian engagement ceremony the night before our wedding. Bunmi’s parents were born and raised in Nigeria, and I’ve spent the last 10 years learning and loving the culture. We are excited to share such an amazing experience with our friends and family.”
