If you haven’t already taken the Harry Potter sorting hat quiz to find out what Hogwarts House you’d be in, maybe now is the perfect time! Hufflepuffs are sure to love this cheery wedding inspiration featuring some seriously magical elements in shades of amber, mustard and gold. Swish & Click Photography captures the day in beautifully light-dappled scenes where faux vows are said under a stunning geometric altar backdrop. This bride models the most romantic off-the-shoulder A-line gown with lace-edging details from Belle Âme Bridal that blow us away, complemented perfectly by her groom. Timeless tabletop decor and stately reception seating from Oliver and Penelope Vintage Rentals ties this outdoor wedding scene together, accented with a floating balloon installation that reminds us of the candles that hover mysteriously over the Great Hall. This cheery wedding inspiration has it all, from the marbled cake trimmed with fall foliage down to the cookies emblazoned with the characteristics that make Hufflepuffs so great – dedication, patience and loyalty. Plus, we can’t forget the adorable appearance by a black kitten named Alvin for even more magic. Read on for a note from the photographer about the inspiration and vision behind this styled shoot’s otherworldly design. Cheers!

From the photographer: “This shoot is from the creative mind of Christine Wright, of Swish & Click Photography. As a huge Harry Potter fan and member of the Hufflepuff house, she wanted to do a styled shoot that honored the house. People who are part of the Hufflepuff house are known to be kind, loyal and dedicated hard workers. Their colors were a challenge, as yellow and black are a stark contrast to each other. To maximize the fun, light-hearted feel I felt Hufflepuffs exude, I wanted to include things like the balloon arch over the table. The planner Hannah from Loose Ends Event Planning understood that the shades of yellow needed to be diverse to add dimension to the table and invitation suite. We added in whites to balance the black and it turned out looking gorgeous! Since the house animal is a honey badger, we played with that a little bit in the cake and invitations. We wanted it to subtle Harry Potter touches to show true fans how to make a theme elegant.”
